Modern Coffee Tables

If you have a couch or sofa in your living room, chances are you either have, or could use a coffee table. You can add a unique yet functional accent piece to your living room with a modern coffee table. With the Coffee Table, even snacks can be served in style. So if you want something for the home that is unique and one that will last for years, this is the furniture table that you are looking for. It is the perfect centerpiece to your living room.

From the supremely minimal, to the visually complex, this coffee table will pair wonderfully with a side table, a modern sofa, or rug to give your contemporary living space an extraordinary flair. Two of these tables can be arranged together in a number of ways to make one larger coffee table, or they can be used independently as end tables. They have casters hidden underneath to make re-arranging the tables a snap, and are a relatively easy project to build.

After you get the perfect sofa and love seat for your living room or family room it’s time to figure out just the right solid wood coffee table to complete the look for your home. While you have many choices for your family room, there’s nothing as elegant as a solid wood one to pull the room together. Remember that a richly styled piece beautifully compliments a formal living room.

A teak fireplace table lets you gather outdoors with friends even on chilly nights. Select a style with drawers for holding magazines and books. Set your magazines and books out of the way on a convenient bottom shelf. Don’t settle for function over fabulous style and design. You may need a place to put a lamp to read by or rest your cocktail and the stereo remote, but it doesn’t have to be a couple of stacked milk crates or a handmade cabinet that is falling apart.

Use A Narrow Console Table In Your Hall

For anyone who is looking to add a little style and a spot of interest to the entrance to a home without redecorating there can be no better way than using a narrow console table. This piece of furniture is the perfect size for such a job and was indeed created with this in mind.

The vast majority of us live in a home or apartment with a hall that doesn’t have too much space in it so the options we have when looking to find furniture for this area are limited. Indeed for some a hall console table might even be out of the question. But most of us will find that it fits in perfectly and gives us a place to have a table lamp and a telephone in a handy location. I also like to have a table available when I come in the door so I have somewhere to place my keys, although a stylish key box on the wall is another possibility for this.

The type of console table you choose for your home is going to depend on the look you desire to create in your home. As your decorating has more than likely already been done, you will want a table that matches what is already there. For an older house that has a classic style you might want to go for an oak design that will compliment your wallpaper and existing furniture. If you live in a modern apartment you will need something more contemporary such as a glass console table if you are going to get the most from your new piece.

Regardless for what you need you you should be able to find a local dealer who can provide you with it, although you might have to do more searching than you would for a kitchen table as console are not quite as popular and are more expensive than many are willing to spend. If you can find anything suitable you could always try online where you are guaranteed to get what you need as quickly as you can do a Google search.

Kitchen Pantry Doors and Designs

One problem, if you think of it that way, with kitchen designs and renovations is that they can cost a small fortune.  Then, once you have this great new kitchen, you might find out there are even newer and more improved appliances or your design is no longer congruent with the latest trend.  Fear not, this happens to many homeowners.  The way to avoid this is to stick with some core decorating senses and make sure that you get all of the elements you want in your kitchen, such as pantry doors, cabinet features, drawers and storage space.  You might also be surprised by how much of your own kitchen remodeling or re-designing you can do.

While you might need to leave the new counters and appliance hook ups to the professionals, you can do some of the other touches that may also end up saving you thousands.  For a brand new kitchen, with the latest appliances, counters, sinks and cabinets, you are looking at spending tens of thousands of dollars.  If you plan on staying in your home for a long time, then this is money well spent.  However, even if you plan on staying put, saving a few thousand dollars by doing your own work can be quite rewarding as well.

One way to do this is by refinishing your cabinets.  Kitchen cabinetry is highly marked up and rightly so for those ornately carved and paneled doors.  If you have a simple door and just want a new color or a fresh new stain choice, this is an area where you can step in.  If the doors are beyond help, you can also just replace the doors themselves, salvaging the unit that mounts to the wall with the shelving.  These might need to be refinished to match the final product, but this is still one way to save a bundle.

You can do this to accent or match the door to your pantry as well.  One popular style of pantry door is a wood framed one with a glass insert.  Glass panels can be clear to be able to see the food more easily or they may be frosted to hide the stored items.  They can also be etched and adorned with sayings or other kitchen appropriate images.  The wood can be stained or painted to match the rest of your remodeled kitchen and cabinetry, as discussed.  Together, the pantry and cabinetry go a long way toward bringing all of the design elements together.
