What Color Coffee Table

If you have a set of matching sofa and recliner chairs, maybe trimmed in wood, matching that wood color and shade in a complementary coffee table is always tasteful and lends a coordinated theme to the room.
If your seating furniture doesn’t match or you’re just going for a different look, then you have a lot of possibilities to work with.
If price is the primary consideration, then a table in a classic wood tone with relatively simple lines is easy to find at budget prices.
If you live where it’s warm and you have any white of rattan pieces in the room, or you’re looking for a sun room coffee table, consider this. How about a white or natural color bamboo, perhaps with a contrasting dark teak or mahogany top. It’s a classic English colonial style. It says casual, tropical and fun in a big way.
A solid slab of tempered glass can give a very modern and formal look. It’s available in all shapes and a wide variety of bases, like tubular chrome, wrought iron, cherry, walnut and oak or marbles. Your coffee table books would look spectacular atop a glass surface.
If you add the possibility of storage in the table, you’ll change the whole appearance of the table, one to six drawers, or perhaps a chest style, or a glass topped picture box coffee table.
Many coffee tables come with one or two shelves below the table top. A coffee table with storage drawers or shelves can be found in just about any shade of wood and finish you can imagine.
Complement and coordinate with the pieces you already have in the room, or depart in a completely different direction.
