What Color Coffee Table

If you’re in need of a living room, family room or sun room coffee table and you’re puzzled what color or style to get, here are a few ideas. Because furniture is an important part of our home, take time to consider your options.

If you have a set of matching sofa and recliner chairs, maybe trimmed in wood, matching that wood color and shade in a complementary coffee table is always tasteful and lends a coordinated theme to the room.

If your seating furniture doesn’t match or you’re just going for a different look, then you have a lot of possibilities to work with.

If price is the primary consideration, then a table in a classic wood tone with relatively simple lines is easy to find at budget prices.

If you live where it’s warm and you have any white of rattan pieces in the room, or you’re looking for a sun room coffee table, consider this. How about a white or natural color bamboo, perhaps with a contrasting dark teak or mahogany top. It’s a classic English colonial style. It says casual, tropical and fun in a big way.

A solid slab of tempered glass can give a very modern and formal look. It’s available in all shapes and a wide variety of bases, like tubular chrome, wrought iron, cherry, walnut and oak or marbles. Your coffee table books would look spectacular atop a glass surface.

If you add the possibility of storage in the table, you’ll change the whole appearance of the table, one to six drawers, or perhaps a chest style, or a glass topped picture box coffee table.

Many coffee tables come with one or two shelves below the table top. A coffee table with storage drawers or shelves can be found in just about any shade of wood and finish you can imagine.

Complement and coordinate with the pieces you already have in the room, or depart in a completely different direction.

Choosing an Ottoman Tray and Other Accessories.

After perhaps a couch or living room sofa, one of the best pieces of furniture for your home is an ottoman.  Many people don’t realize the importance of an ottoman, so obviously more information on the topic.  As you’ve probably guessed, there are many different types of ottomans, and some are better than others.  Let’s take a more in depth look at some of features you should look for when purchasing one of these.

While most people think that an ottoman serves only as a footrest, there are actually more uses than you think.  One of the best accessories that you can get is an ottoman tray.  By getting one of these ottoman trays, you will be able to quickly transform your ottoman into a serving table.  There are different types of trays, and the one you choose will most likely depend on the size and shape of your ottoman.

While most ottomans are either square or rectangular in shape, round ones do exist.  You will need to know your ottoman dimensions before you choose a tray to ensure a good fit and color match.  In addition, not all ottoman trays are alike.  Some of them have a single, large tray and other are split into three sections.  If you have a large ottoman, you can easily do without a coffee table in your living room, since the ottoman can do the job of both.

In addition to the ottoman tray, another great feature of ottomans is the ability to store things inside them.  These days, most ottomans have a top that opens to reveal a storage area inside.  This pocket is perfect for storing a little blanket, magazines, or extra pillows for times when you need them.  This is one of those things that a coffee table can’t do, but an ottoman can.

The Perfect Coffee Cup

If you are a complete coffee junkie, you probably get your fix one of two ways.  You either get a cup of coffee from your favorite coffee shop whenever possible, or you make your own coffee and drink it from mugs, travel mugs, and other coffee cups.  If you make your own coffee, you are probably looking for the perfect coffee cup.

How do you drink coffee?  How often do you drink coffee?  Where do you drink coffee?  The answers to all of these questions are necessary in order to make the best choice.  If you drink your coffee on the run, you’ll need a travel mug.  You can get all different styles, with or without a handle, large, small, etc.  A big coffee drinker might even need a thermos in order to keep large quantities of coffee hot.

Do you just drink coffee around the house?  If so, a nice coffee mug will do well.  If you drink a lot of coffee at home, you might want to consider getting a larger coffee mug to accommodate your needs.  If you only drink a little, get a single cup maker so that you don’t have to spend as much time making coffee, and you don’t have to feel bad about getting rid of perfectly good coffee.

Do you only drink coffee on special occasions?  If this is the case, you should get a nice set of mugs for guests, interesting mugs for yourself, or whatever else pleases you.  Since you only drink coffee occasionally, you might as well do it in style. Try glass coffee cups and see how you like them.  While you are at it, get some gourmet coffee that tastes unique and delicious.

The perfect coffee cup is out there, you just need to find it.  If you couldn’t care less about what cup you drink your coffee out of, go for the cheapest and best quality.  You might as well save some money in you can!
